Dreamless Waking

Distant lightening, slow thunder,

rain as soft as bubbles popping.

Wakes her too, she presses closer.

I smell her hair, kiss her neck.

I’ll forever remember

her warmth in these shadows.

That sleepy sigh from deep inside,

her moan as her hips slide.

No other secret worth knowing.

Breathing steadies together,

eyes close, another dawn begins.
